EDGELARD

How EDGELARD Began

This whole thing started when in the middle of covid, elon musk said something about bitcoin on twitter, i don't know, i don't have twitter, but i do have dogecoin. i had managed to turn $20 into 500 without even doing anything, and so because i'm a degenerate gambler, i used my covid CERB cheque to buy more. eventually i managed to hit a streak where doge went up 10x in one day! i wisely sold off at 3x, enough to buy myself a new computer. and when i say 'new' it was really pieced together with old spare parts from friends, the only things that were new were the case and the power supply. i had planned to use it for making my great cinematic masterpieces, but because it was covid and i didn't have access to my friends, i mostly just played medieval total war II. i really had nothing better going on. i was living with my parents, my fiancee had dumped me for being a loser and i lost my job in film because of the pandemic. really i was never good at it and after 5 years in, i was still not even close to becoming a full union member. i tried my hand at glassblowing, it had always been a dream, but it may just have been because i was bored and i could smoke weed all day. also i was not good at it. somehow i convinced my fiancee to let me move back in and she got me into blender, this animation program i had always looked at. my first creation was dogecoin of course, my much buddy and personal saviour. 5 years after that, we got married and we were in dominican on our honeymoon when trump got elected. there was a blackout and strange americans were all over the resort that stormy night. we got home and i immediately smoked a joint solo, with my 420 enhanced brain i decided that i was going to make money from this trump presidency, one way or another i was going to make some funny political cartoons and become a youtube millionaire. because you see, i'm struggles.com, all i had going for me was a minimum wage job as a barback at a strip club making 5-10 bucks in tips per night, and my wife was and is still suffering from a chronic illness compounded by covid and the hidden side effects of pharmaceuticals. when elon and doge joined trump, it was too perfect, i knew i had to create edgelard. she helped so much and was such an obstacle too and we fought like wild animals because of it. but i kept going, and worked my new daytime bartending position at the strip club and stayed up all night and just meditated between 9-10am because i was on adderall and couldn't sleep anyway. i became obsessed, and i decided to stop giving a fuck about being cool or talented or even just competent, i just released it all. i hate everyone on the internet and i hate myself and i love all that hatred. it really gets me off, but it doesn't go anywhere, it doesn't matter. no matter how sjw i was online, i was still an npc. thats what edgelard is about and i'm trying to support my wife and have a kid because really we are both struggles.com and she is my edge-lady.

My Journey

Between 3D modeling, animation, and storyboarding, I poured every ounce of energy into bringing EDGELARD to life. Dogecoin allowed me to afford software, tools, and time to work without distractions. The process taught me resilience, patience, and how to laugh at absurdity even when life is unpredictable.

Why EDGELARD Matters

This series explores themes of identity, chaos, and conspiracy in a way only an Edgelard can. It’s about navigating a world that’s both hilarious and confusing, and sharing a story born from personal struggle, love, and creativity. EDGELARD isn’t just a cartoon — it’s a testament to perseverance and imagination.
